Your story resembles mine in so many ways. Your quest for self actualization and your relentless drive to find independence and a place to call home is what drove me to move here as well… You discipline and ability to keep motivating yourself even during the most difficult times, mirrors exactly the approach I’ve adopted to succeed in this journey. What “we” immigrants go through is really difficult to describe and sometimes we are judged unfairly because the criterion of success versus failure does not take into account our formidable ability to adjust so quickly and integrate in a completely different world away from our family and network of friends.
